How to get Cancer Coverage
for your volunteer firefighters

How VFIS Cancer Coverage works:

1. Getting a quote:
   • Your agent submits our simple, 1-page application
   • VFIS will provide a proposal outlining the Statutory Coverage
2. Securing coverage:
   • Sign and return Letter of Intent (from the proposal) or application
   • VFIS will provide an invoice and policy
3. Filing a claim:
   • Send in claims form
   • Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) will attest to the eligibility
4. Renewing your policy:
   • Renewal Questionnaires will be sent out 90 says prior to renewal and will simply ask for the number of firefighters who need coverage.
